Positano part II

So night número uno in Eden Roc hotel we had dinner in the hotel, all the food in the restaurant is grown on the property other than the fish of course. The food was fabulous, Greg had carpaccio do polpi which is raw octopus sliced really really finely and fish of the day John dory whereas I had a caprese salad and Lamb cutlets to die for. We only ordered 2 course each but somehow ended up with 4 and some fantastic wine.

The next morning after breakfast we went wandering down into the town and looked at the many shops and then considered the beach - then back to the hotel for a swim.

Dinner night número dua was at the much recommended la tagliata up in montepertuso, a set menu of antipasta, Pasta, meat and desserts including wine and water and lemoncellio, great home cooked wholesome food with a fabulous view to boot. Thanks Maz and Denis for telling us to go.

On day dua we caught the boat around to amalfi and then the bus up to ravello, both beautiful spots in the amalfi region, amalfi village is on the coast and ravello is up the mountain. Met some aussies that live in Bangkok, a family of 5 that are also driving around. There are some gorgeous places around this area.

Drink anyone?

Ravello.

On the way back.

Night trai we went to a restaurant recommended by the matre 'd at the hotel also up in monterpertuso called il ritrovo, beautiful food once again and accompanied by a local celebration at the church with many noisy fireworks, big canons and cheering, this was also the night Italy was playing Spain in the soccer final. Italy lost four blot, so it was very quiet this time....

We awoke on our last day with a profound sadness and immediately thought stuff this! let's stay another night, alas there was no room at the inn, no problem! Our host Dominic said, "you stay at my villa just down the road". The villa is actually a very spacious studio apartment , kitchen, 1 1/2 baths, 2 terraces king size bed satellite tv and it's own wifi. What more could a body ask for? In this place, off street parking! Yep, got that too!

Some typical road signs.
