So another day in Athens, we took the train and thought we'd climb Likavitos hill by way of the funicular of course, let's not get too excited it's 38 degrees and we want to take it a little bit easy after climbing up the acropolis yesterday.
After traipsing up about 8 flights of stairs and in a lather of sweat, it's about 9.30am we found the funicular, rode it to the top and it was definitely worth the pain. There is a tiny chapel on the top dedicated to St George. Just can't seem to get away from this bloke can I!
We watched the changing of the guard at parliament. Check out the shoes! Apparently they hid knives under the Pom poms.
Next up we were on a tour out to the temple of posiden. Now after the acropolis the temple was a bit underwhelming, note to all do this first. But the trip out there is gorgeous!
