Istanbul and a walking tour

So we hit the ground running in Istanbul. We, well me knew that we needed a visa to enter the country! My research on the Internet, the font of all knowledge had told me this. However, it also told me it was around 10 euro a head, why then is the woman at the visa counter laughing at me? Don't believe everything you read 45 euro each please she said with a smirk. Now if we were from New Zealand we would not need a visa to visit Turkey, and if we were South African, we would need a visa but it would be free!

We got to our hotel and decided to do some washing, as I had cooked and washed up the last fee times physical labor was required, Greg was designated washer woman! The bath, some shampoo and lots of water........welcome to our Chinese laundry!

Night time and the view from our window

We awoke early as we had a tour of the tourist areas booked and were being picked up a 8.40.

We were due to see, the Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia, grand bazaar, topkapi Palace.
